Declaration of Conformity (DoC)

Prerequisites

You need tenant admin or editor access and a product with at least one packaging component. This article is not legal advice — your company remains responsible for the content and legal assessment of your Declaration of Conformity.

Before you issue a Declaration of Conformity, these details should be in place:

  • Company profile under Settings → Company profile (manufacturer details; for PDF generation also letterhead and page margins)
  • Target and export markets in tenant settings
  • Signature of the authorized signatory under My account

1. Open the product workbench

Open the product from Products and switch to the Evidence & conformity area in the workbench. There you find the Declaration of Conformity (DoC) section — drafts and issued declarations for this product version.

Save any open product changes before creating a new Declaration of Conformity.

2. Create the Declaration of Conformity

Click Create declaration of conformity and choose one of three paths:

  • Generate PDF — PakPruvo builds a PDF from the stored product, packaging, and company data
  • Upload PDF — upload your own PDF document
  • Copy from product — use an existing declaration from another product as a starting point (assign a new DoC number before issuing)

When generating, PakPruvo shows which required fields are still missing. Complete them in the draft or in the underlying product data.

3. Review the draft and provide the PDF

Review draft fields such as DoC number, declaration date, batch or type designation, and manufacturer details. Open the PDF in a new tab to check the result.

For generated documents, you can regenerate the PDF while the draft is still not issued.

4. Issue the Declaration of Conformity

When the draft and PDF are ready, Issue the declaration. The Declaration of Conformity is then recorded for this product version — regardless of whether the product is already published.

PakPruvo confirms issuance; it does not perform a legal review of your obligations or referenced standards.

Next steps (optional)

  • Publish and QR code — only after an issued Declaration of Conformity, when you need a public product page or QR marking (see the Publish and QR code help article)
  • Compliance cockpit — overview of products without an issued declaration or with changed packaging data
  • Enable four-eyes approval when your team needs review steps before issuance
